The Siberian tiger is one of just five remaining tiger species, with a global population of around 350 to 400. Numbers in the wild are still falling, mainly due to poaching and loss of habitat.

In the UK, Tiger Balm's main conservation programme is the upkeep of Karma, Keisha and Karushka, the three Siberian tigers at Woburn Safari Park. The partnership between Woburn and Tiger Balm continues to go from strength to strength, so much so the sponsorship is currently in its seventh year.

As well as helping look after the tigers in the Safari Park, Tiger Balm is also leading an education programme with Woburn designed to raise awareness of the worldwide fight to save the tiger.

Within this programme Tiger Balm is funding a range of tiger fact sheets which are available to Woburn visitors. The leaflets are aimed particularly at schoolchildren and explain why conservation of the big cats is so vital.
